This platform is operated by ILCI B.V., trading as the International Law Compliance Institute (internationallawcomplianceinstitute.org), a Dutch private limited company (besloten vennootschap) represented by Prof. Dr. Nikos Lavranos, with its registered office at Saenredamstraat 81, 2021 ZP Haarlem, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 96043172, VAT number NL867445658B01. In these Terms, “ILCI”, “we” and “us” mean ILCI B.V.
These Terms of Use apply whenever you create an account, accept a team invitation, purchase or use a subscription, or read a report on the ILCI platform. For how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
Important notice: All case entries, compliance classifications (paid, unpaid, settled, annulled, pending, or other categories), executive summaries, country and annual reports, and AI-generated answers reflect ILCI's scholarly and analytical classifications based on publicly available sources as of the stated cut-off date. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal, financial, or investment advice, and using the platform does not create a lawyer-client or advisory relationship.
AI search transparency (EU AI Act Art. 50): The AI search feature on /cases generates answers automatically from ILCI's case database and published reports. Although every answer links to cited cases or report sections, automated outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate. Always verify any point against the underlying award, decision, or report before relying on it in legal proceedings, advice, or publications.
All compliance reports, executive summaries, compliance classifications, and database compilations are protected by copyright and database rights held by ILCI and Prof. Dr. Nikos Lavranos.
What you may do: While your subscription or report licence is active, you may search the database, read licensed reports in the online reader, print personal reference copies of licensed reports through the platform's print button, and cite findings or brief quotations in legal submissions, client memoranda, or academic work with clear attribution to ILCI.
Watermarking: Every page in the online reader and every printed PDF copy is stamped with the licensed reader's email address, organisation name, and date (Licensed to <email> · <organisation>).
What you may not do:
Reservation of text and data mining rights: ILCI expressly reserves all rights to the platform and its contents against text and data mining, within the meaning of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and Article 15o of the Dutch Copyright Act (Auteurswet). No text and data mining, including for the development or training of AI models, is permitted without ILCI's prior written consent. This reservation applies regardless of whether it is also expressed in machine-readable form.
Breach: If you breach this section, ILCI may suspend or end access for you and, where the breach is attributable to the organisation, for every seat on the subscription, immediately and without refund. ILCI reserves all other rights and remedies, including the right to claim damages.
To keep AI search fast and predictable for every subscriber, each seat has a daily allowance of answered questions, set by ILCI and reset at midnight UTC, subject to an organisation-wide ceiling. ILCI may adjust fair-use limits or temporarily suspend an account if we detect credential sharing, automated scraping, or unauthorised redistribution of watermarked reports.
The platform and its contents are provided for professional research on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. While ILCI takes great care in compiling arbitration cases and compliance reports, we do not warrant that the database or AI search will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, ILCI is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions taken in reliance on the database, reports, or AI answers. ILCI's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a subscription or report is limited to the total fees paid by your organisation to ILCI in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited by law (such as intent or conscious recklessness: opzet of bewuste roekeloosheid).
These Terms of Use and any subscription or licence entered into on the platform are governed by the laws of the Netherlands (Nederlands recht). Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules where applicable.
